Audit Preparation

We prepare all of the items needed by your CPA Firm, which typically include:

Pre-Fieldwork

1.Trial Balance

2. Bank accounts held during the year, including account and routing numbers, bank name and address and authorized signatories for each account

3. Investment accounts held during the year, including investment advisor, his/her address, and the account numbers

4. Attorneys consulted during the year

5. Copies of the note’s receivable

6. Lease agreements, operating and capitalized, including aggregate future maturities

7. Loan payable agreements with banks

8. Minutes of the Board of Directors and all other board committees

9. List of members of the Board of Directors

10. Copies of budgets

11. Check registers

12. List of payroll check numbers/direct deposit numbers and payroll registers

13. List of all journal entries

14. Summary of Payments by vendor

Assets

1. A copy of all bank account reconciliations and copies of related bank statements.

2. Investment analysis as of year-end (schedule of investment purchases, proceeds from sale of investments, unrealized gain/loss, and donated securities for cash flow purposes

3. Copy of the most recent investment statement received.

4. List of accounts receivable as of the year end and subsequent collections through fieldwork dates.

5. List of other contributions receivable as the year-end and subsequent collections through fieldwork date

6. Fixed asset and depreciation schedule.

7. Analysis of prepaid expenses

Liabilities

1. Accounts payable aging which ties into the trial balance.

2. Cash disbursements journal through first day of fieldwork.

3. Schedule of accrued expenses.

4. Detail of deferred revenue

Net Assets

1. Roll-forward of net assets

1.1 Without restriction

1.3 With restriction

1.4 Permanently restricted

Restricted net assets which were released from restrictions.

 

Income

1. Membership dues and/or fees

2. Details of the special evens – gross revenue and summary of direct costs

Expenses

1. 941 reconciliation to the general ledger as of the year end with a copy of all 4 quarter’s 941 forms

2. Copy of last quarters pension employee contributions

3. General ledger detail for all repairs & maintenance accounts

4. Functional expense schedule for the year ended.

Nonprofit Start Up

Nonprofit corporation set-up to include obtaining a tax ID#, articles of incorporation and preparation of the IRS 501c (3) tax exemption application.

Business Development

We will prepare a Business Development Plan and a list of targeted funding sources to include Federal, State, County and local government agencies and Foundations. We will market to those sources and prepare, on an as needed basis, introduction letters to place you on the bidder’s lists to be considered for RFPs and Funding Requests. We will meet or set up meetings with potential Funders for in person introductions and presentations. We will attend bidder’s conferences and prepare, on an as needed basis, proposals (bids) and Requests for Funding. We will coordinate and supervise the web-site on-line media and fundraising efforts.
